In 2022, I vividly remember receiving a call from Chef Crystal Hood. It was summertime, and my family and I were on our way to an Atlanta Braves game when Crystal began telling me about her business, Lazy Susan Meal Prep. She shared her vision for a company that would create healthy, macro-friendly meals for people who care deeply about nutrition—especially the busy moms hustling in and out of gyms like Burn Bootcamp, Twisted Cycle, and others.
She needed more than just a website. Her online ordering had to open and close on specific days each week. She needed simple reporting to know exactly how much food to prepare for each gym. She needed options for pickup, delivery, and local delivery within 10 miles for a small fee. And, of course, the menu changed every single week.

As we dug into the scope, we uncovered even more needs: weekly menu designs to print and display at local gyms, two weekly email campaigns, and ongoing social media management. It was a big challenge—but exactly the kind our team thrives on.
We started by developing website wireframes and presenting them to Crystal and her team. Once approved, we moved into full development, programming every feature to match her operational flow. Six weeks later, the website launched.
Today, the site houses more than 130 menu items with photos, descriptions, and full macros—many with variable options, including family-size meals. We designed custom email templates sent out every Saturday and Wednesday to announce when ordering opens and closes. We built win-back campaigns for customers inactive for 90 days, and automated birthday emails for any customer with a birthday on file. We also created branded social media posts for Saturdays and Wednesdays, with Crystal’s team filling in the rest of the content throughout the week.
